The PANCOPOP team at the regional ICA conference in Warsaw

The PANCOPOP team participated in the International Communication Association (ICA) regional conference, “Human Tech Transition: Crises in Mediatized Politics, Society & Economy” in Warsaw. The team presented three different papers based on three different project strands:

·         More Control than Support: Populism, The Covid-19 Pandemic and Media Policies in USA, Brazil, Serbia and Poland, presented by Beata Klimkiewicz and Katarzyna Vanevska;

·         The impact of populism and pandemic misinformation on institutional trust in comparative perspective, presented by Václav Štětka;

·         Pandemic communication and populism during the COVID-19 pandemic: Comparing Brazil, Poland, Serbia and the United States, presented by Ana Stojiljković.

The conference, with its focus on exploring the nexus of communication, modern technologies, and the challenges of contemporary crises, provided an ideal platform for sharing the insights from PANCOPOP research.
